Do you have a brisket point leftover from a cookout? Don't toss it! Transform it into these Twice-Smoked Honey BBQ Burnt Ends. Our signature Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning creates a deep, savory base, while layers of brown sugar, honey, and our smoky Bearded Butcher Blend BBQ Sauce takes things to the next level. The result? Melt-in-your-mouth cubes of brisket with a perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and savory.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. After smoking a brisket, separate the point from the flat. Let it cool completely, and then refrigerate.
  2. The next day, or after it's sufficiently chilled, slice the point into rough 1 ½ inch cubes, and place in a high wall foil pan.
  3. Preheat your smoker to 185°F.
  4. While the smoker heats up, sprinkle brown sugar and Bearded Butcher Blend Black Seasoning on the cubed brisket point, and drizzle with honey for a touch of sweetness.
  5. Place the pan with your burnt ends in the smoker and let them reheat for about an hour. This allows the brown sugar to melt and caramelize.
  6. After that initial smoke, crank up the heat to 350°F. Now comes the Bearded Butcher Blend BBQ Sauce! Add it to the pan and gently stir to coat the burnt ends. Let them cook for another 25-30 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  7. Take your burnt ends out of the smoker and serve immediately. These beauties are perfect on their own, or piled high on a bun with your favorite toppings.
